China Small Ball Mill Gold Mercury Amalgamator Barrel - Suppliers & Factory for Efficient Gold Recovery

The Gold Amalgam Barrel is a traditional gold refining machine, widely recognized in the industry for its efficiency. Also known as a small mercury ball mill, this device effectively combines mercury with gold concentrate extracted from shaking tables, sluice boxes, or gold centrifugal machines to enhance gold recovery. Our automatic amalgamator features an innovative design powered by a stepper motor, eliminating the need for manual operation and increasing productivity, Manufactured by leading suppliers in China, this machine is designed for mixing mercury and gold with black sand, producing a gold amalgam that can be distilled in a mercury retort to yield pure gold. While this cost-effective method offers high efficiency, it is important to note the associated risks of mercury poisoning. As a result, the amalgamation gold extraction method is commonly employed as a supplementary technique alongside various mineral processing methods to maximize gold recovery rates. Trust our factory for dependable gold refining solutions that prioritize both efficiency and safety

    Working principle

This machine is composed of cylinder body, frame, hand gear reducer, frame, electrical control and other main components. The basic principle of the mercury amalgamation gold extraction method is to utilize the selective wetting effect of mercury on gold particles. During the mercury amalgamation process, the surface of gold particles get wet by mercury, and then the mercury diffuses into the interior of the gold particles to form amalgams of different compositions, such as AuHg2, AuAg and Au3Hg. Finally it will form a solid solution of gold in mercury. This process is to achieve effective separation of gold particles from other minerals.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is the working principle of the gold amalgamation machine?

The machine works by utilizing the selective wetting effect of mercury on gold particles. When the gold surface gets wet by mercury, it diffuses inward to form various gold-mercury amalgams (such as AuHg2, AuAg, and Au3Hg), resulting in a solid solution that effectively separates the gold from other waste minerals.

What are the main components of the mercury amalgamation machine?

The machine is mainly composed of a cylinder body, a supporting frame, a hand gear reducer, and an electrical control system, along with other essential structural parts.

What types of amalgams are formed during the extraction process?

During the process, the mercury and gold interact to form amalgams of different chemical compositions, specifically AuHg2, AuAg, and Au3Hg, which ultimately form a solid solution of gold in mercury.

What is the difference between the Light Type and Heavy Type specifications?

The Light Type has a smaller capacity with an ore loading limit of 50-90 kg and a lower power requirement of 0.75-1.5 kw. The Heavy Type models are designed for larger operations, supporting ore loading capacities from 100 kg up to 450 kg and utilizing higher power configurations.

What ball diameters are recommended for these machines?

Across all listed models (both Light and Heavy types), the standard recommended ball diameter is between 38 mm and 50 mm.
